Fees
I charge on a per-project basis. My fee is calculated using how much time I will need to research, write and proofread your project. Charging this way means the focus is on finding you just the right words, rather than worrying about timing and budget constraints. The fee won’t change unless the project scope changes significantly and includes:
– Research
– Writing the first draft
– Two sets of revisions
– Final proofread
My fee does not include meetings with designers, web developers or any other agencies, unless we have agreed this as part of the project brief.
I am not registered for VAT.
What I need from you
Before I start work on your project, I will need you to email me confirmation of your acceptance of my fee, the agreed deadline (s) and the project brief we will have created together. I will also require a 50% deposit.
I’m more than happy to work with a team – it can get lonely working on my own! – but I do ask that you provide me with a single contact person who has decision-making and approval authority.
Change in project scope
A change in project scope may need more of my time, whether researching or rewriting. I do reserve the right to review my project fee if the project changes substantially.
Payment terms
As stated, 50% of my fee is due in advance and the final 50% within 14 days of agreed completion. If final payment is not made, I will send a friendly reminder. If my invoice remains unpaid, I will pursue recovery through a debt collection service, including any additional costs incurred as a result of doing this.
If you cancel the project after work has started, I will charge you for the work that I have already done.
